Loved for their long-lasting blooms, beauty and fragrance, these five specially selected Salvias will provide you with an incredible six months of interest, bringing plenty of colour to the garden even after most other plants have died down for winter. From June to November, an abundance of open-mouthed, nectar-rich blooms appear on upright spikes above bushy, sage-scented foliage, which releases its fragrance when brushed against. The flowers are also a magnet for bees and butterflies, an ideal choice for a pollinator-friendly garden. Perfect for planting in borders, beds and patio containers, they are hardy down to -5°C and easy to grow, making them an excellent choice for every garden, only requiring a mulch to protect them from harsh frosts. Drought tolerant once established, they are best grown in a sheltered spot in a well-draining soil in full sun or part shade. Your Salvias will be supplied in 9cm pots, meaning they can be planted straight outside in the garden.
