Tell Me More…
Growing up to 90cm tall and spreading as much as 40cm, this bundle of beauties is certain to create an impression when it blooms from May to July each year. In particular because of their double blooming, deeply rich and fruity hues, accented by a striking white star. The six plants in the ‘Abundant Aquilegia Barlow Collection’ will also lend their pretty, fern-like foliage from March to autumn for additional gap-filling interest in containers, rockeries and garden borders and can be cut for a vase too. Collection comprises: ‘Christa’ with miniature, rose-like blooms in purple and white; ‘Nora’ with pink, white and green tasselled flowers; ‘Pink’ in deep cerise and pink shades; ‘Black’ with pom-poms of rich purple black, ‘Bordeaux’, as deeply delicious as the fruity wine from which it takes its name; and ‘White’ – pure, snowy blooms with accented tips to the petals. ‘Abundant Aquilegia Barlow Collection’ likes to be planted in well-drained soil of any type and will thrive in full sun or partial shade. Fully hardy, herbaceous perennials which are pollinator and wildlife friendly.
