Tell Me More…
A charming, Alpine Geranium, Erodium x variabile ‘Flore Pleno’ boasts double, bright pink blooms from late spring through to the autumn; almost covering the tidy domes of pretty, ferny, scalloped, evergreen foliage.Erodium will happily settle in a rock garden and fill crevices in walls, they also provide excellent weed-suppressing groundcover for drier areas in your borders. The name Erodium comes from the Greek for heron – Erodios – relating to the shape left when the petals have fallen. Erodium x variabile ‘Flore Pleno’ prefers to be grown in a sunny spot in well-drained soil, in borders or containers. Growing to an approximate height of 25cm, forming domed cushions 30cm across. A fully hardy perennial which becomes a valuable addition to your garden for years. No winter protection required except in the very coldest of areas.
