Description
- ‘Forest Pansy’ is a multi-stemmed tree with purple and ruby red heart-shaped leaves which put on a spectacular show of orange, yellow and red-purple tones in autumn. The leaves are translucent so that when the light shines through them they take on a beautiful stained glass effect
- Clusters of small, bright pink flowers grow on bare stems all spring from March to May
- A hardy, low maintenance deciduous Redbud with a broadly conical form, which can be grown as a large shrub or small tree
- Grows to 8m tall x 10m wide but can be pruned to fit any size of garden
- Plant at the back of a border or against a wall in a sheltered position – this tree looks great when combined with lime green foliage plants for contrast
- Provides all-year round interest to your garden with colours for each season
- Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit
- Our trees are professionally pruned before dispatching. This formative pruning can involve cutting the main leader, if the expert tree growers decide this will produce a better shaped tree. This can stop the tree becoming “leggy”, and promote stronger, bushier growth.MORE
