This Pyracantha Collection, also known as Firethorn, are one of the most versatile shrubs available on the market. Their strong, thorny structures make them ideal for climbing, screening or simply as specimen plants. From early spring, this Firethorn Collection provides shrubs that are laden with white blossoms that give way to masses of bright berries in late summer through to early winter. A great collection for wildlife friendly gardens, where the clusters of flowers attract bees and butterflies. Birds also adopt the evergreens for nesting, shelter and food. They will reach a mature height of 2.5m but can be pruned robustly to a manageable size, dependant on garden size. Growing at a glance…
Provide support until the shrub is established/self clinging. Pyracantha prefer a good quality soil, that is well drained. Plant in a sunny location, but provide some protection from strong winds until the shrub is well established.
