Product Description

A fantastic clump forming perennial that forms masses of sparkling star-shaped blue flowers with violet hues on a bed of long stalked rounded leaves. With its reliability, stability of colour and good resistance to pests and diseases it has earned the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Native to Siberia and Japan it is no surprise they do not like a wet winter and will do best in a sunny border or rock garden. They begin to flower in July and continue through into late August and can be planted in containers, but are most useful in the ground where the spreading foliage will produce a blanket of weed suppressing ground cover. Height 25cm. Supplied as UK-grown 5cm module plants.

Planting Notes

Planting Plant in a hole large enough to firmly hold the module
Soil Type Moist but well drained soil

Growing at a glance…

Dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the entire module. If planting in pots, fill a large pot halfway with potting soil and then make several holes that can hold the modules. Campanulas can be grown in any soil type. Position somewhere sunny, or perhaps with dappled shade. Plant outdoors from May to June to see them appear throughout summer.
