A new Antirrhinum, Dazzling Lips Red produces an abundance of strong, stately stems that are full of elaborate, eye-catching blooms during spring and early summer. Flowering for several months above the lush green foliage, Dazzling Lips are a new twist on the country garden staple and are the perfect solution for adding a stunning splash of colour to your borders and containers. Antirrhinum make excellent as cut flowers lasting well in a vase, and are much loved by bees for the nectar-rich summer blooms. The Latin name antirrhinum means ‘like a snout’ and is believed to refer to the seedpod looking rather like a calf’s snout. Antirrhinum Dazzling Lips Red is Incredibly easy to grow, preferring moist, well-drained soil in sun. Growing to a height of approximately 30cm and spread 20cm, it is a half-hardy annual, seed can easily be collected and sown for new plants the following season.
