Tell Me More…
Throughout April, and into May, large, pure white, four-petalled flowers smother the neat, compact cushion of Aubrieta ‘Florado White’. This beautiful cultivar is a member of the Florado range, specially bred for an early flowering period (often several weeks before other varieties), and broad spectrum of colours. Aubrieta is a hardy, evergreen perennial which quickly forms a neat, dense, ground-hugging mat. A spectacularly easy nature has earned it widespread popularity, and it is a familiar sight cascading over walls, spreading over rock gardens, or spilling over the edges of containers. Plant in a sunny spot in moist yet well-draining, neutral to alkaline soil. Aubrieta does not like to sit damp, so add extra drainage when planting if necessary. The only maintenance required is a light trim each year after flowering, to maintain a neat, dense cushion and prevent the middle from becoming bare and woody. H: 10cm S: 60cm. Hardy to between -15 C and -20 C.
