Tell Me More…
With its delicate petals and graceful stature, Epipactis Sabine is an enchanting plant which captivates with its beauty. Ideal for both seasoned gardeners and novices alike. A hardy orchid, with an easy-going nature, boasting beautiful blooms from June to August, each with white and yellow lips, which are flushed orange and red near the top. Around 15 are held on strong stems, above lush, pale green, lanceolate shaped and furrowed leaves. Combining the vigour of ‘gigantea’ with the colouring of ‘palustris’ this hybrid is the perfect addition to your garden, whether in borders or containers. A strong and tolerant herbaceous perennial, growing from rhizomes beneath the soil. Hardy to around -20°C, so winter protection will not be required, new shoots develop in spring. Reaching a mature height of 45-70cm, and spreading to around 45cm, Epipactis Sabine thrives in various environments, preferring moist, but well-drained soil and a sunny or partially shaded spot in any aspect.
