Tell Me More…
An exciting, new variety of primula which holds an abundance of ruffled flowers from January to April – adding intensity and vibrant hues to your garden during winter to spring. Primula rubens ‘Sky Blue’ is a brilliant way to add energy and colour to containers, baskets, border edges and rockeries at a time when there is little colour available. You may even notice their sweet, subtle scent drifting on sunny breezes as flowers entice in the early pollinators and enliven your senses and your spirit. As a woodland plant, primula prefers a position in semi-shade and likes humus rich soil of any kind, although they are tough enough to do well in most spots if not exposed to baking hot sun or drought conditions. Primula rubens ‘Sky Blue’ is a semi-evergreen, hardy (H5) perennial which reaches a height and spread of 20cm. Its leaves will die back over the summer and then, if given the right conditions, will re-emerge during the winter months ready to bloom again.
