Tell Me More…
This is a collection of aquatic plants which are easy to grow, provide colour and require little care. All suited to UK weather conditions, attract wildlife and we hope add decoration and style to your pond. There are three plants in this collection:Nymphoides peltate – Nymphoides peltate is the ‘yellow floating heart’ of every pond. The name ‘yellow floating heart’ originates from the stunning yellow flowers which are produced, primrose yellow on stems just proud of the water. The mid-sized leaves float on the surface though the plant is rooted to the bottom of the pond.Baldellia ranunculoides – A delightful petite plant which produces a mass of pale lilac flowers. The foliage is a vivid green. An excellent marginal plant for clearing ponds and is a visual delight.Pontederia cordata – An easy grow plant for the pond margins. An herbaceous perennial which produces spires of blue flowers and is an attraction for visiting butterflies. A very hardy plant which grows up the east coast of Canada. Pontederia naturally dies back in the winter and returns with renewed vigour in the Spring
