Sow January-February under glass for a July harvest, March-May outdoors and September-October in coldframes to over winter. (20-26 weeks maturity.)
Sowing Information
Sow Jan/Feb in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 10-15 ° (50-60 °F) using a good quality compost. Cover the seeds with 6mm (1?4″) sieved compost (Germination 7-12 days). Transplant seedlings into 75mm (3″) pots, grow on and plant outside 50cm (20″) apart each way.
Can also be sown March-mid June into a finely raked seedbed at a depth of 13mm ( 1?2″) for eventual transplanting.
Otherwise, sow early autumn for over-wintering in a cold frame, planting out during spring.
