‘Sapporo’ is a great cauliflower to grow in the greenhouse or any average sized garden, which will grow after summer crops for harvest in spring, acting as a space saver of sorts by harvesting before you need space to grow tomatoes the following year. Top notch resistance to disease, the makeup of this cauliflower means it’s leaves will protect the white inner centre head from harsh sunlight or frosts. Height 45cm (18”) and spread 60cm (24”).
Growing Information
Remove the plants from packaging immediately on receipt. Water if the compost is dry. Once planted water well to help settle the soil. Plant in a well-drained soil in a position where it can get plenty of sun. Plant 45cm (18”) between plants and then 60cm (24”) between rows. In its early stages ensure it is watered regularly to help prevent the formation of small heads. Bend the larger leaves over the head to protect from the sun and help prevent discolouration.
