Japanese Barberry is a dramatically good looking cultivar, a spreading deciduous shrub with deep-purple coloured young foliage creating a contrast with the pale-yellow
flowers along each stem in early Spring.
Red berries emerge in an appealing way against the dark leaves before the weather changes in Autumn, bringing a change in colour and foliage turns to scarlet-red before falling.

Growing Information
Plant Berberis in full sun or partial shade, on a reliably moist, well-drained soil. Barberry plants are extremely resilient and will grow on many different soil types, except waterlogged.
