Cabbage (Organic) Seeds – Caraflex F1

A great variety and previous winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit

The Cabbage Caraflex F1 is a great pointed variety with an improved ‘Hispi’ type. This means that the cabbages produced from this variety have slightly larger heads and stands for longer – meaning you can enjoy even more cabbage without the effort of growing more. The Cabbage Caraflex F1 can be grown in a tunnel during the winter months in order to gain an early crop in the spring.

The leaves of the Cabbage Caraflex F1 are very good for you and have many health benefits. The leaves closest to the heart are the most nutritious and have the most health benefits. It’s no wonder the Cabbage Caraflex F1 won the RHS Award of Garden Merit! It is a superb variety that is ready to harvest June-September unless grown in a tunnel.

Growing Information

Growing Information

Sow thinly in October for an early harvest or March-June into a finely raked seedbed at a depth of 1.3cm (½”) (germination 7-12 days). Transplant with a trowel when large enough to handle, allowing 30cm (12″) between plants each way. Alternatively, sow January-February in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approximately 10-15°C (50-60°F) using a good quality compost. Cover with 6mm (¼”) sieved compost. Transplant seedlings into 75mm (3″) pots, grow on and finally plant outside in well-cultivated soil for early crops.
