Self-fertile variety that is perfect for growing in a patio pot. ‘Sylvia’ is covered in pretty white blossom in spring and is followed by delicious, sweet cherries. Having Cherry ‘Sylvia’ grafted onto dwarf rootstocks, controls the growth of the plant without taking away from its fruit production. At maturity the tree will reach no more than 2m tall.
Growing Information
Plant patio fruit trees in 60cm (2’) diameter containers using a good quality compost such as John innes No.3. Alternatively plant them in any well drained soil in a sheltered sunny position. Plant fruit trees at their original soil level, firm them into the ground and water well.
