Description
This medium to large sized deciduous tree has a conical growth habit and produces yellow catkins in March. The leaves are a rounded, fan-shape with toothed edges. When they first emerge they are coloured a soft orange-brown later maturing to dark green. Its natural habitat is boggy land and river banks. This is a very good tree for urban areas due to its high resistance to pollution.
