A beautiful, deciduous shrub with large, dark green leaves, Magnolia Soulangiana, is one of the most popular varieties available. Producing huge, rose-pink or pure white goblet-shaped flowers in mid-to-late spring before the new leaves appear, it is one of the best Magnolias for a smaller garden. It remains a shapely shrub for many years before maturing into a manageable small tree.
Grows best in moist, well-drained soil. Happiest in full sun or part-shaded areas of the garden, with shelter from cold winds. Requires only minimal pruning to maintain a natural shape and remove any crossing branches. Prune only between the midsummer and early autumn.
Supplied in approx 3-4 litre containers, these are flowering size plants.
