Chilli Pepper ‘Rezha’ is an heirloom chilli from Macedonia with distinctive looks and a complex flavour profile paired with medium heat.
The tapered chillies mature into glossy red fruits around 15-20cm long and are distinguished from other varieties by their corky horizontal lines which has earned them their Macedonian name ‘Rezha’ meaning ‘sliced’ or ‘cut’. At 8,000 – 15,000 SHU this is a mildly hot chilli that combines spiciness with complex smoky and fruity-sweet notes, making it a popular addition to Balkan dishes in relishes and sauces.
