Dahlia ‘Purple Gem’ is an outstanding variety of cactus type Dahlia. It has long, narrow, almost spiky petals that are of the most incredible colour. A deep-purple flower that is very bright and very bold, the perfect companion for rich plum, purples and near-black flowers. Makes exquisite cut-flowers, remove spent flowers promptly to encourage longer and more productive flowering. Will bloom from mid-summer right through to mid-autumn. This is a real purple Gem and would bring bold colour wherever you choose to plant it. Will reach a max height of around 90cm.
