‘Cristata’ is a vibrant Scaly Male Fern, that boasts masses of branching fronds in a golden green. Low maintenance and happy to grow in a shaded spot, this textural Dryopteris makes a fantastic space filler, attractive ground cover and woodland garden staple. Growing Information
Plant Dryopteris in a sheltered spot. Choose a position in dappled shade on fertile, moist, acid or neutral, soil. Dryopteris ferns prefer a soil that is rich in organic matter so add some well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting.
