Kaffir Lime is an incredibly aromatic variety of Lime, that its leaves are a vital ingredient in Thai cooking, especially Thai curry recipes. When crushed the citrus aroma will burst into life, infusing your dish with amazing zest. Meanwhile the fruits are brilliant for creating cocktails with its juice and skin adding to any drinks. Uniquely imperfect, the fruits grow to around 4cm in diameter with a uneven skin. Citrus fruits grown in a standard UK garden can take up to a year to develop, but they are always so worth the time invested in them. Growing Information
Plant citrus trees in patio containers in a mix of ericaceous compost and neutral, soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Repot the plant at its original soil level and firm well into the new container. Water well and position in a frost free position in full sun.
