This small garden tree is popular for its subtle blue-green foliage colour variations. The leaves of Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Ellwoodii have a blue-grey to darker green look depending on the season, and the tree itself has an upright growth habit, best likened to a candles flame.
Lawsons Cypress make a great choice for planting near seating areas or pathways, or even used for a slower growing controllable evergreen conifer hedge. Each tree reaching around 4 metre x a metre when planted as a solitaire.
