The earliest garlic on the market, ‘Extra Early Wight’ produces delicious white skinned bulbs in late May, which is weeks before any other varieties of garlic. A reliable overwintering hard neck garlic, that will make the most out of your plot in winter months. When harvested the bulbs will store very well until as late as November. Height: 60cm (24″). Spread: 15cm (6″).

Growing Information

Plant garlic in rows in any well drained soil in full sun. It is important that the soil does not become waterlogged so incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve drainage and feed the soil. On particularly heavy soils, grow garlic in raised beds. Carefully split the bulb into individual cloves. Plant each clove at a depth of 2cm (1″) below the surface of the soil and 10cm (4″) apart, leaving 45cm (18″) between each row.
