Description
The ‘Intense Blue’ injects an explosion of steely blue colour into any garden and it’s the perfect choice for planting in a pot on a sunny patio. The very fine leaves are highly ornamental and they form a wispy mound. In summer blue-green flower spikes add further interest and these age to a straw-like texture.
As the name suggests, the colour is intense and therefore makes a fantastic accent plant for any of the darker grasses: we love it alongside the Carex testacea as the two plants have fine leaves, but with contrasting colours.
Common Name: Intense Blue Festuca
Latin Name: Festuca glauca ‘Intense Blue’
Special features: Striking silvery blue leaves.
