Hydrangea serrata – Japanese Confetti Hydrangea is a spectacular Lacecap variety that originates in the mountains of Japan, it is a fantastic lesser known form of these highly popular plants that should be much more widely grown. It offers nonstop blooms from early summer well into autumn, a Mountain Hydrangea that is well-branched with huge, numerous clusters of flowers.
Characterised by compact, very well branched growth these neatly rounded plants have beautiful lace-cap flowers starting pink in colour and turning red by the end of the summer. The blooms cover the entire plant and are long lasting, providing tremendous garden value. In autumn, the bright green foliage will turn a magnificent shade of burgundy-red.
These plants are vigorous and very easy to grow in full sun to partial shade.
