Spectacular plant for sunny border with long tapering pendant tassels. Much prized by flower-arrangers. Tall border plants that make ideal filler or ‘dot’ plants. Ideal for cutting and drying too. HA – Hardy annual. Height 75cm (2½’).
Mostly grown for their ‘tassel’-like flowers, these are good for garden decoration or cutting and very popular with children.
Sowing Information
Sow the seed thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed free soil where the plants are to flower, 3mm deep, raking in the seed gently. Germination usually takes 14-21 days. Thin the young plants until a final spacing of 23-30cm (9-12″) is achieved, removing any competing weeds as the plants grow.
