A superb, small, round spring onion, with extremely attractive purple skins and excellent flavour. It’s easy to grow and does well in containers as well as in the veg garden.
Growing Information
Sow liberally but not too thickly, into finely raked, firmed, moist soil or compost in containers, beds or borders at a depth of 1.3cm (½”) in rows 15cm (6″) apart. No thinning is necessary. Grows best in well prepared soil manured the previous autumn or a quality compost if grown in containers. Water freely during periods of dry weather. Sow a pinch of seed fortnightly so that small tasty salad onions are always available for the salad bowl. Sowing – Cropping: 10-12 weeks.
