Description
The ‘Starburst’ is a unique form of barberry that features the most wonderful leaves that are mid-dark green in colour with splashes of creamy variegation. The obovate leaves come from red shoots when young, and then turn to a dazzling crimson colour in autumn. This deciduous shrub also has tiny yellow flowers that emerge in spring, and these later turn to red berries in autumn. The small fruits are a popular choice with wildlife. This colourful shrub is ideal for planting as edging to a path and also works well in beds.
