Description
This is a highly ornamental variety of crab apple which is perfect for the smaller garden. In spring, ovate green leaves appear and these are soon followed by the white flowers in May. The flowers are highly attractive and open up from delicate pink buds. The best feature comes in late summer when the crab apples start to develop, and by autumn these are a glowing pink colour and resemble rosehips. The crab apples are perfect for crab apple jelly as they are high in pectin and are of a decent size; they can also be left on the tree as a natural bird feeder. This is a great all-rounder and is worthy of a space in any garden.
