The interior of each clustered blooms is wonderful dappled and splotched on closer inspection. As a compact shrub which reaches a height and spread of 80cm, Kalmia latifolia ‘Kaleidoscope’ is well-suited for smaller gardens, as well as balconies and courtyards, where its everlasting foliage and long-lasting flowers bring year round interest.Plant Kalmia latifolia ‘Kaleidoscope’ in acidic or neutral soil, of any kind except chalk, which is moist yet well-drained. Position this fully hardy evergreen in partial shade and mulch annually in spring with well-rotted leaf mould or acid based compost.
