Princess Diana’ is an eye-catching Clematis that produces beautiful pinnate dense green foliage which highlight the vivid red-pink Tulip-shaped flowers. These hardy flowers are a great addition to any garden, flowering from August through to October and can be planted within containers to brighten up areas of the patio or can be trailed up trellises and walls to create more of a dramatic feature. We recommend planting in sunny areas of the garden in well-drained, fertile soil where these vigorous climbers will thrive and reach a mature height of 2.5m but can be pruned to a more manageable height. Tall 7cm pot plants supplied.

Clematis are vigorous climbing plants that reach various heights and spreads. Its best to prune back to keep control over the growth annually and initially they should be tied in to help direct the new growth. Apply a liquid fertiliser each yearduring the growing season, and water regularly during hot periods.Clematis can be planted October-May in areas with good drainage and plenty of sun is preferable. Soak in a bucket of water prior to planting and plant deep enough to allow plenty of room for root development. The roots of clematis like to be kept cool so it is a good idea to plant amongst low growing shrubs or bedding plants. If planting in containers, ensure the pot is large enough to allow the roots to expand/develop, as limitation of roots will certainly impede future success.
