Basil ‘Spicy Sabre’ is easily recognised due to its ornamental, tooth-edged leaves that have a spicy flavour especially well-suited to Asian cuisine. A compact and bushy plant that is great for bed and container growing.Height and spread: 30cm (12″).
Sowing Information
Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or thinly in pots or trays in a greenhouse at approx 10-15C using a good quality compost. Cover seeds with 0.5cm compost. (Germination 14-21 days). Grow on, planting out when the frost risk has passed 20-25cm apart. Can also be sown thinly direct outside at a depth of 0.5cm. Grows best in well-drained soil in a sunny position of in the greenhouse. Remove flowers to prolong leaf harvest.
