A member of the triphylla group, the fuchsia ‘Insulinde’ is well known for its long, tubular blossoms and extremely attractive appearance. This cultivar adds a tropical touch to any garden setting with its stunning display of coral-red blossoms that hang elegantly on dark green, elongated foliage. It is particularly well-liked for bringing vertical flair to garden spaces that are shaded, such as patios and conservatories.
Fuchsia ‘Insulinde’ is happiest when grown in partial to full shade; it likes a cool, shady spot where the strong noon sun won’t burn its delicate blossoms. To prevent both excessively dry circumstances and waterlogging, which can be harmful, the soil should be moist yet well-drained. Lush foliage will benefit from regular watering, particularly in dry spells, and feeding every few weeks during the growing season with a high-potash fertiliser.
