Description
The ‘Big Golden Star’ is an almost thornless variety of Crataegus which features deep-green leaves, which turn red in autumn. In late spring, white flowers emerge, which are followed by dazzling scarlet fruits. As well as attracting wildlife to your garden, the edible red fruits can be made into preserves or syrup. This hardy tree can survive in costal sites as well as in milder conditions. This deciduous thorn will benefit from occasional pruning.
