Product Description

Lush, emerald green foliage forms a backdrop for pretty pink flowers that open in June and slowly mature to a deep, rich burgundy. As the flowers change colour, the stems and leaves turn red first, then to a rich purple in autumn. This lacecap Hydrangea looks stunning as part of a mixed border where the large leaves and abundant flowers are a great background for light and white coloured flowers. Drying the cut flowers is easy and they last for a long time making them ideal for indoor displays. Remember to plant in alkaline soil to keep the pink colour. Height 90cm. Flowers July-October. Supplied in a 2lr pot.

Growing at a glance…

Make sure that the hydrangea receives lots of water when the summer comes. Hydrangeas are very low maintenance and will need little pruning, but can be done in spring as new shoots appear. The old shoots should be left in the winter and not removed until spring. Apply a mulch annually to protect from winter colds.Hydrangeas can be grown in fertile, well drained soil and often prefer a shady location. For best colour results, use alkaline soil.
