Ranunculus are easily recognised due to their masses of densely layered petals which gradually unfurl to create a magnificent display in May and June. The blooms of Ranunculus ‘Mixed’ produce a variety of vibrant colours, forming intricate rosette flowerheads that unfurl above serrated foliage and last for many weeks. Easy to grow and perfect for containers or growing at the front of sheltered borders where they will fill the colour gap between spring bulbs and summer perennials. Ranunculus make superb cut flowers and are unsurprisingly adored by florists!Height: 40cm (16″). Spread: 30cm (12″).
Growing Information
Plant ranunculus in free draining soil in a sheltered, sunny position. Alternatively grow ranunculus tubers in containers of loam based compost mixed with plenty of horticultural grit to improve drainage. Plant the claw-like tubers at a depth of 8cm (3”) with their claws pointing downwards.
