Tell Me More…
Aubrieta ‘Florado’ is a hardy, evergreen, fast-growing perennial which forms a neat, dense, ground-hugging cushion. Its spectacularly easy-going nature has earned it a place as one of the most popular garden rock plants, and it is a familiar sight cascading over walls, spreading over rock gardens, or spilling over the edges of containers. A dense profusion of brightly coloured flowers gives it particular prominence during spring. In this collection we have brought together three varieties: a pure white, a hot pink, and a pale blue and white bicolour. Grow as many as you can for a dazzling, multi-coloured effect from March to May. Plant Aubrieta ‘Florado’ in a sunny spot in moist yet well-draining, neutral to alkaline soil. Aubrieta will thrive with the minimum of fuss, asking only for a light trim each year after flowering. As well as maintaining a neat, compact plant this will encourage a second, lighter flush of flowers. Each of these varieties is hardy to between -15 C and -20 C. Collection comprises: Neon Pink, White and Blue Blush Bicolor
