Description
The Malus x robusta is a deciduous, broad-headed tree which has a wonderful dome-shaped crown. In April, an abundance of white and pink flowers appear which are later replaced by glossy fruits. The crab apples are yellow or red and are quite similar in size to cherries; they make a fantastic crab apple jelly and are also great for attracting wildlife to your garden. The leaves are a dark olive-green and have a lovely ovate shape to them- they make the perfect foil for the summer flowers and the emerging autumn fruits.
