Tell Me More…
Small yet mighty, with a bold colour contrastWith purple-green foliage which darkens and intensifies over the course of the summer, contrasting with masses of pure white, funnel-shaped flowers, it is not hard to see how the striking Weigela ‘Black and White’ got its name. This dwarf, compact deciduous shrub is perfect for mixed or shrub borders, small spaces, or even a large container. Derived from plants found in the woodland margins of Korea and North China, this weigela is happy in full sun or partial shade, though the best leaf colour is achieved in full sun. Prefers any fertile, well-drained soil. H&S: 60cm x 80cm. Hardy, deciduous shrub, able to withstand temperatures of down to -10 C. Specimens grown in pots may require winter protection in the coldest weather.
