Create an onslaught of burnt orange and mauve coloured, fragrant Wallflowers in your beds, borders or patio containers! ‘Artist Paintbox’ has a compact and neat growth habit, that is also evergreen, very low maintenance and easy to grow in any area of the garden or outdoor space. Albeit a perennial, it tends to be short-lived acting more like a biennial, being tough enough to cope in some of the toughest soil conditions. Height and spread: 30cm (12″).
Growing Information
Pot up wallflower plants using free-draining compost, and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. When plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting outdoors on free draining soil in full sun. Erysimum plants are tolerant of most neutral or alkaline soils and will even cope well on very poor soils.
