Growing Information
Sow liberally, but not too thickly, direct into finely raked, warm, moist, weed-free soil at a depth of 13mm (½”) in rows 15cm (6″) apart. No thinning is necessary. Grows best in well prepared soil manured the previous autumn. Water freely during periods of dry weather. May also be grown in grow bags or containers on the patio. Sow a pinch of seed fortnightly so small, tasty leeks are always available for the salad bowl. Sowing to Cropping: 10-12 weeks.
