Peony ‘Karl Rosenfield’ boasts large, fragrant blooms with multiple layers of pink petals like crumpled silk, creating impressive flower heads that reach up to 15cm (6″) in diameter. This resilient perennial forms a mound of deeply divided leaves, perfect for the front or middle of cottage borders, where its flamboyant flowers offer a striking focal point in early summer. It also serves as an opulent cut flower for lavish summer bouquets. Height and spread: 80cm (31″).
Growing Information
Bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Grow peonies in a sunny or semi shaded position on fertile, moist, well drained soil. Peony plants prefer a heavy soil that is rich in organic matter. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost prior to planting. Plant herbaceous peonies so that the top of the crown is just 5cm (2”) below the soil surface, taking care not to plant too deeply as this may prevent or delay peonies from flowering.
