Description
This syringa is the perfect choice for a sensory garden as it features highly-fragrant flowers that intermittently last from spring to early autumn. The flowers open from dark-purple buds and the petals are purple-pink, providing a colourful show. Panicles of flowers sit amongst mid-green, wavy leaves and come from purple stems. This is a great choice for attracting wildlife to your garden as the butterflies and bees are lured in by the sweet scent of the flowers.
This hardy shrub will eventually form a neat mound and it looks beautiful in a mixed bed. We think this is one of the best syringas around and it looks great when planted alongside another prolific flowerer like the Fuchsia ‘Mrs Popple’.
