When forced, ‘Timperley Early’ will produce delicious tender sticks of rhubarb as early as February. Can also be grown unforced in the regular fashion, this variety of rhubarb is considered the earliest maturing variety on the market. A magnificent variety, given the RHS AGM due to incredible quality of yield.
These budded pieces, taken from established crowns will quickly mature, resulting in crowns big enough to harvest from 2 years after planting. Height: 60cm (24″). Spread: 120cm (48″).

Growing Information
Plant your crowns in a sunny, well-drained spot, 75-100cm (30-40in) apart, with the dormant buds just below the surface of the soil. Apply a generous mulch of well-rotted compost or manure. Once planted, rhubarb should not be moved. Mulch annually for best results.
