Thyme is a perennial herb with small scented leaves. Excellent used sparingly with poultry, meat and game, and in soups.

Growing Information

Sow April-May outdoors. Prefers chalky fertile soil.

Sowing Information

Sow thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm soil covering lightly. Germination 7-21 days. Thin seedlings to 30cm (12″) between plants. Alternatively sow in a propagator indoors February-April, transfer seedlings into pots and grow on prior to planting out in May-June. Both leaves and flowers are aromatic.
