As a result of exciting Japanese breeding there is a new addition to the Clematis world. Manju is an unusual, long flowering and floriferous climber; the sister to Taiga, one of the most loved clematis,Buds open wide, forming large bowl-shaped blooms. Then follows the cream-green petals to complete the palm-size blooms, covering the climbing foliage from May to October.Clematis Manju is wonderful planted in a pot or a border, ready to climb over walls, fences, up an obelisk or trellis. Clematis Manju prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or part shade with the base in shade. Classified as pruning group 3, making this an easy to grow climber, and good for beginners. Reaching a height in maturity of around 250cm Manju is a fully hardy perennial, signifying Manju will flourish outside all year round for many years; no winter protection required.
