Masses of periwinkle blooms with a white eye cascade from Lobelia ‘Laura Blue Eye’ adding a soft blue froth to your summer containers. Flowering from June until at least September, Lobelia are much-loved half-hardy plants popular for hanging baskets and patio pots for their airy, flowing habit and long-lasting show. These delicate yet showy blooms will reach a height of 15cm with a spread of 45cm. Add a handful of slow-release fertiliser to your compost at the time of planting to keep plants fed through the summer. Ensure soil remains moist but not waterlogged for plenty of flowers. No need to deadhead. Combines well with pinks and purples – Salvias, Fuchsias, and free-flowing Nemesia, Petunias, and Lobularia all make great companions for Lobelia ‘Laura Blue Eye’.
