Inula Seeds – Grandiflora

Vibrant yellow flowers to fill your garden with colour.

The Inula Seeds – Grandiflora is a thin petaled, spider-like flower with golden-yellow blooms. This perennial, clump forming variety of Inula is shorter and much more manageable than regular Inula. Grow these in flower beds and flower borders for a profusion of yellow colour throughout.

Originating from the Himalayas, the woolly buds and daisy-like flowers help to create that iconic cottage garden feel with an exotic twist. Grow these beautiful flowers in your container and patio pot displays this season for a unique arrangement of colour and shapes. The Inula Seeds – Grandiflora are also very attractive to bees and birds love the seed heads during the winter. Growing to a height of 40 -50cm, the Inula Seeds – Grandiflora, otherwise known as Georgian Fleabane, is perfect for cut flower displays around your home. Flowers June -August. Height 41 -50cm (16 -20″); spread 41 -50cm (16 -20″).

Growing Information

Growing Information

Sow the seed thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil where the plants are to flower 1.3cm (½”) deep. Germination normally takes 10–15 days. As the seedlings develop, thin them out in stages to achieve a final spacing of 23–30cm (9–12″). For early flowering, the following year sow direct August–September where the plants are to flower. Can also be started in trays or pots in a greenhouse and planted out when large enough to handle.
