Named ‘Hot Chocolate’ not for its chocolatey taste – obviously, roses shouldn’t be eaten – but for its distinct, gentle red tone that gives a vintage look. This rose is a sturdy floribunda that is highly resistant to disease, thriving when grown in sunny borders or equally patio pots for a decking or patio focal point, where it’s delightful fragrance can be cherished. Height: 100cm (39″). Spread: 60cm (24″).
Growing Information
Plant bare root roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
